Hi PFV. I have just read the latest Sky News report on prisoners. Chris Grayling said it is not right that some prisoners appear to be spending hours languishing in their cells and watching daytime TV, while the rest of the country goes to work. Mr Grayling, considering we are 'supposed' to be a country with a Justice System promoting rehabilitation, I can tell you that my partner spends 23 hours a day in his cell because he is on a waiting list for a job in prison. Seriously, what do you expect the prisoners in these circumstances to do without a TV in their cell apart from create Holy Hell with the prison officers because that is exactly what will happen. Given I accept that prisoners are in prison for a reason, but where exactly are your so called 'rehabilitation' programmes, because you need to get off your backside and walk the talk and see how many prisoners are banged up for 23 hours a day. Talk about making a rod for own back, but then it's always been talk without the walk by the Government. What a joke!
